Special Prize Winners
Best Junior Performer
Each year, Music Illawarra awards the "Best Junior Performer" trophy to a performer 12 years and under. The trophy is not necessarily awarded to the performer with the highest marks. We look for a young performer who shows potential, musicality, and a true passion for music.
This year, we are proud to award the "Best Junior Performer" trophy to Titus Grenyer for his performance of Aaron Copland's "Cat and Mouse". A beautifully polished performance; congratulations!

Like the previous prize, Music Illawarra also awards the "Best Senior Performer" trophy to a performer 13 years and over. As with the Junior trophy, we look for a young performer who shows potential, musicality, professionalism, correct stage presentation, and above all, a true passion for music.

Courtesy of the Song Company & Mrs. Mariee Durkin-Beech (friends of the Song Company)
The Song Company (artistic director Roland Peelman), Australia's leading vocal ensemble, has generously offered the opportunity to four of our best performers to attend an open rehearsal and go behind the scenes with this fine group. The winners will also be given the opportunity to meet the singers and musicians during a meet and greet session, and will learn how professional musicians prepare for a performance.
Our thanks go to Mrs. Mariee Durkin-Beech of the Friends of the Song Company, and to Amy Curl, Philanthropy Manager with the Song Company.
The winners of the 2010 Song Company Prize are Arielle Jamsek (Art Song 17-18 Years) and Charlotte Gillespie (Senior Voice 13-18 Years).
